Jealous Uncle

• An Uncle kills his nephews when they become a certain age
• When his new nephew is born they try to disguise him as a girl
• When the Uncle realizes he's a boy however he tries to kill him
• Every time the boy escapes, eventually ending up at a new village
• There he marries the chiefs daughter and becomes apart of the village
• He eventually returns to his home and kills his nephew and rescues his parents

Bluejay and His Companions

• Bluejay (and his companions) go sealing every day
• When they return however they always give Grouse the leanest meat and taunt him
• Eventually Grouse puts a spear on their canoe that drags them from village to village
• Everywhere they go they are challenged by the villagers
• Eventually winning their challenges (often through trickery) the group returns home and promises to give Grouse the good meat from now on
