The Piqued Buffalo Wife
- A young man sleeps with a buffalo-cow and she becomes pregnant
- The son attempts to find his father and identifies him from a group of men
- After being found the son brings his father to his mother, who turns into a women
- The women and son come home with the man and she tells him to never strike her with fire
- After many happy years the man does, of course, strike her with fire and she turns into a buffalo- cow again and returns with her son to her herd
- The man comes to the herd to get his family back but fails to identify his son successfully during all four trials (succeeding only three times) and is trampled to death
- He is revived by a bull and him and his family live happily
- Bear Woman and Deer Woman are both married to ChickenHawk Man.
- One day Bear woman bites off Deer woman's head and puts it into the fire
- In retaliation Deer Woman's children kill the bear children and Bear Woman accidentally cooks and eats them before she realizes
- Then she chases the deer children who trick her and she floats away in the river
- A bunch of men are hunting when one gets leg injury
- Eventually a girl is born out of the wound
- All the men love her and provide for her but a buffalo wants her for a wife
- After the buffalo sends several animals as messengers, they eventually give in
- After a year they decide they miss their daughter and so they send a mole to help her escape
- Eventually she ends up at the top of a tree which the buffalo try to strike down, breaking their horns. From then on all buffalo's have broken horns and are afraid of people
- Afterwards a rock wants the daughter as a wife, but he always cripples and dismembers them
- She deceives him using mole and badger again before cursing the rock to only be found among hill and to have none of the powers it currently possesses
